Research Institute of High Energy
Aerial photography of Marx generators
  • My career as an industrial photographer began almost twenty years ago with a passion for industrial tourism: an exploration of abandoned and underground man-made locations, and a little later, official tours of operating factories. I still try not to miss the opportunity to get to an interesting location.
The High Energy Research Institute, and its partially abandoned test site, is a well-known place even outside the circle of urban explorers. It has been attracting tourists for more than a decade, despite the fact that all this time it has been guarded, and, according to videos from the Internet, it is still periodically used for its intended purpose by the Institute.
  • Task
Photograph the test site from above.
  • Solution
Aerial shot taken on DJI Mavic 2. Processed in Luminar.
  • Result
The photos were posted on my Instagram.
